BharatMC Social

BharatMCSocial provides a unified social layer spanning all subservers across the BharatMC Network. Players on Lifesteal can effortlessly chat with, friend, and message players on Survival, Hub, or Practice without boundary restrictions.

Like our vote architecture, WebSockets have been eliminated in favor of Redis streams and encrypted Redis Pub/Sub channels for zero network overhead.

1. End-to-End Encrypted Private Messages (ECDH)

Section titled “1. End-to-End Encrypted Private Messages (ECDH)”
  • Private direct messages (/msg) utilize Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) key exchanges with AES-GCM 256-bit encryption.
  • Keys rotate automatically every 30 days to guarantee forward secrecy.
  • Server memory caches decrypt only for delivery, protecting player privacy against unauthorized inspection.
  • Send and accept friend requests regardless of which backend server either player is connected to.
  • Friends receive real-time join/quit toasts and cross-server server-switch notifications.
  • If a target player is offline, /mail send <player> <message> queues the envelope in Redis/database.
  • Upon next login on any server, the player receives an unread mail notification.
  • Players can set personalized bio messages (/status <text>) and toggle Do-Not-Disturb (/dnd).
